In _____ Pension No. 199154 of Louisa J. Fortner widow of David H. Fortner Co. F 3d Tenn Infy--
John C. Chiles a citizen of the county and state aforesaid personally appeared and being sworn at the law invests do ____ and says:
I am 64 years old, my post office address is Knoxville, Knox County, Tenn. I am personally acquainted with Louisa J. Fortner the above named applicant and also knew and was acquainted with David H. Fortner deceased aforesaid the husband of the said Louisa J. Fortner.
I have known and been personally acquainted with said Louisa J. Fortner for forty (40) years. I knew and was personally acquainted with David H. Fortner about twenty-three years before he died. I knew about the time she was married to said David H. Fortner about January 1867. The said Louisa J. Fortner had never before her marriage to said David H. Fortner been married and the said Louisa J. Fortner since the death of the said David H. Fortner has never remarried. the said David H. Fortner before he married the said Louisa had been previously married but--I think and believe he the said David H. got a divorce from his first wife and then married said Louisa J. Fortner. Who before her marriaged was named Louisa J. Foy. Where the said Louisa J. Fortner lived in _______ Co., Tenn. She occasionally visited at my house and she then after returned to Knox County aforesaid about the fall of the year 1873 and she has since lived in Knox County. Aforesaid I am disinterested,
